General Labourer – Shipper / Receiver

Description: 

• Operate all material handling equipment in a safe manner
• Inspect lift truck at start of shift as per designated forklift maintenance check list
• Prepare, maintain and complete all necessary shipping and receiving records in a legible manner.
• Maintain the warehousing/shipping area in a clean organized manner at all times.
• Review receiving packing slips to ensure material and packaging is in good condition, verify quantities and that it is meant for Clover.
• Review and verify product Shipping packing slip; transport product to staging area; attach packing slips to bins.
• Complete daily shipping log with carrier signature and departure time.
• Use hand and power tools to clean steel parts
• Read part drawings and production documents
• Handle steel parts manually
• Check finished parts against specifications
• Perform and document quality inspections
• Document work completed
• Shipping and Receiving materials
• Some inventory Controls

Requirements: 

• Overhead crane experiences an asset
• Experience in running metal band saws
• Experience in running Ironworker (punch)
• Read, write and speak English at a basic level
• Count large quantities
• Ability to read blueprints for manufacture of outgoing products
• Capable of reading & providing measurements (tape measure)
• Assist in cutting materials using power tools as instructed
• Follow verbal and written instructions
• Lift up to 23 kilograms (50 pounds)
• Take initiative on keeping the warehouse clean and organized
• Standing and repetitive work
